I want to recommend Paradise TEFL for anyone who is interested in teaching English to non-native speakers in settings both international and domestic, rural or urban. The program was recommended to me by my best friend and long time educational colleague, who I trust with my life and far more than any ad or internet chat site to be sure.  Paradise TEFL's down to earth scope and sequence is rooted in a hands-on well researched approach, which is not only practical, but applicable to real life, daily classroom teaching. As a credentialed teacher myself, I found the paradigm both well structured and enlightening. I believe it is equally useful for both those with little or no experience, as for those who have been formally trained with years of higher education.
Furthermore, the Paradise TEFL teachers vast real life experience teaching non-native speakers far surpassed that of my other course and their professional employment assistance far surpassed other "more recognizable" courses than any I have ever heard mentioned. The reality is that there are few courses that offer the kind of placement opportunities for jobs in addition to such a broad number of certifications.
If I had to underscore the biggest difference between this program and others, is that it embodies a personal touch and takes the individual needs of the teacher/learners into account. Learning should never be about the arduous, teacher centered, mundane, ego-centric administrative agendas of instructional hierarchies, rather, it should awaken, excite, stimulate and provide real life skills, techniques and strategies which this course does! Paradise TEFL offers authentic instructional opportunities and the rare chance to learn, improve and hone your teaching and classroom management skills without judging you as a person, as well as the ability to network and mingle with other sincere, like-minded, charismatic individuals. 

This certification is real and meaningful!

 Taking the TESOL/TEFL training course with ParadiseTEFL has made a tremendous difference in my ESL teaching experience.  I learned very valuable information about living abroad and practical teaching tools for immediate application in the classroom.  One of the things I appreciated the most about the course, besides the instructor's down-to-earth and kind manner, is the tailor-made curriculum.  What I mean is Paradise TEFL highlighted the most important aspects of their TESOL/TEFL course according to my prior experience and needs.  No wasting precious time!  Everything I learned was interesting, practical and meaningful.  I know this because I have just completed a semester of teaching in the northeast of Thailand, where I put what I learned to the test.  Teaching in Thailand can come as a shocking experience if one is not prepared.  Paradise TEFL prepared me for the ridiculously large class sizes, the communication within the school system, the levels of English training to expect, and, most importantly, the best way to reach the students, get them engaged in learning and manage the classroom.  I have had no major discipline problems all semester, and I teach twenty-five classes of 45 students each and several age groups.  I believe Paradise TEFL's sound advice was significant for my survival and success.  I have had a very worthwhile and enjoyable teaching experience, grateful for what I learned from Paradise TEFL prior to jumping in.

 Graduates from other TEFL/TESL courses have told me horror stories about their training course: not delivering much of what was promised to them, spending precious coursework time on irrelevant material that one never uses in teaching and feeling unprepared for the job at hand.  You will not experience this with Paradise TEFL. They took the time to understand first, our experience in the teaching world and tailored the program to us in the realistic role we would be placed in. After much consideration and planning, we finally decided to take the plunge and head to Asia to teach English in January, 2008.  We researched many TEFL programs on the internet and decided to contact Paradise TEFL.  We called and spoke with one of the course instructors a few times and his straightforward answers and friendly demeanor gave us the confidence to commit to this course sight unseen.  It was certainly the right decision.  Paradise TEFL gave us a great combination of practical training and practical advice that prepared us for the real world of teaching.  Classes were held in a relaxed, friendly environment that was very conducive to the learning process.  We felt very comfortable with the instructors as well as our classmates.  Paradise TEFL was also, and perhaps most importantly, exceptionally supportive in our job search, patiently answering our many questions and guiding us through the process of finding the job that was the right fit for us.  We are currently teaching in southern China, a great position that we found with the help of Paradise TEFL. We enthusiastically recommend Paradise TEFL to anyone who is serious about earning a TEFL certificate and teaching English abroad.
